Cabling & Bracing
Cable and bracing is performed as a preventative safety measure to trees that have structural problems. Trees that are already damaged, weak, multi-stemmed, or that are susceptible to damage from storms, can be cabled or braced to reduce risk and help stabilise the tree, reducing the need for it to be felled.

This artificial support mechanism can help extend a tree's life as well as minimising further damage to the tree, should a large branch break off. Incorrect cable bracing can do more damage to the tree, so it's important to recognise the complexity of the work and the value in retaining the tree.
At Frontier Forestry we provide cabling and bracing using the latest equipment from Cobra, illustrated in the image to the right. Cobra is an award winning tree support system specially designed to be flexible and shock absorbing - as well as having a long life span. Cobra has contributed to saving valuable trees safely and effectively, and is the arborist's equipment of choice for trees that require long-term support.
