Stump Removal

There are several reasons why you may wish to remove a tree stump. As well as causing a hazard, stumps left after a tree has been removed are prone to infections such as honey fungus and infestations which can spread to other trees. Chemical treatments can be used but are often ineffective and are environmentally hazardous - so entire removal of the stump is by far the best option.

At Frontier Forestry we operate the latest stump grinding equipment which allows us to access even awkward stumps, and which removes the stump cleanly and efficiently. Our machines mechanically grind both the stump and surface roots down, leaving nothing but woodchips and sawdust which can be used as mulch. This allows new trees and plants to be immediately replanted in the same location.
