This is a tall ash tree in a back garden within striking distance of the owner’s house. The customer noticed a crack in the stem during Storm Amy last night and significant root movement. On investigation this morning we noted that this is a longstanding shear crack extending through the stem due to extensive basal decay and a hollow stem. The team are heading out to remove it today. 👍
